Yesomi Umolu is Exhibitions Curator at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago. She also holds the position of Lecturer in the Humanities division. Umolu received an MA in architectural design from the University of Edinburgh before studying curating at the Royal College of Art, London. Specializing in global contemporary art and spatial practices, her recent curatorial projects include ‘Kapwani Kiwanga: The sum and its parts’ (2017) and the international group show ’So-called Utopias’ (2015).
Her writing has appeared in numerous catalogues and journals, including Art in America, Afterimage: The Journal of Media Arts and Cultural Criticism and the Studio Museum in Harlem’s Studio magazine.
